Vogue UK February 2010 Issue – Nick Knight & Natalia Vodianova

January 10, 2010

These images are simply stunning. I’ve always loved Nick Knight’s work; while studying fashion photography at university his style was one of the ones that immediately struck a chord with me and provided inspiration to carry it forward. The idea of the shoot is to raise awareness for Vodianova’s Naked Heart Foundation, which aims to provide safe and clean recreational spaces for Russian children.

The fairytale dresses which form the centrepiece of this editorial are donated by brands such as Chanel, Valentino and Prada, and will be auctioned off at an event this April with all proceeds going to Naked Heart.

Chanel Spring 2010 Campaign – Claudia Schiffer & Freja Erichsen

January 8, 2010

Shot on location in Argentina by Karl Lagerfeld, I love the rustic isolation that this shoot imparts – having been to Barcelona not too long ago the washed-out earthen tones remind me of nighttime strolls through the Barri Gotic. Very dramatic. Also features Baptiste Giabiconi.

Chanel Stop Motion Film for V Magazine #62 – Directed by Stephen Smith

November 20, 2009

Not quite sure what else to say about this… stop-motion fans will probably like it but it’s a tad strange!! A short little piece directed by Stephen Smith and Chanel for V Magazine. Pretty much just an advert for Chanel, stop-frame animation is a nice little nostalgic technique that we at the Fold do enjoy.
