So, Amazon have launched a new website, – a standalone shoes and handbags site, and consequently females are going nuts.

Looking at it, it’s actually a decent proposition – fully online service with fast delivery, 365 day returns and a price match guarantee. Featuring neat functionality (colour matching, price slider, hover-over zoom etc), in-depth product information and customer reviews, Javari is a clean, user-friendly shopping experience.

However, there are a few little niggles – the checkout does not offer users a way back to the main site, and the search is a bit cumbersome. Also, from my own point of view, their offer for men leaves a little to be desired (no Nike?! Really?!)

But hey, it’s bound to be a surefire hit with female consumers who, these days, are a primary target for many online retailers.
